Taking to my bed with a heavy heart
When even now a woman can’t simply lift her head and walk
And so many leaders cannot lead, yet seem to know how to talk
Even now people are starving, and , mostly men , are still fighting
Even now our biodiversity, we are starving; and many are denying the right of life to so many others
I am taking to my bed with a heavy heart
Inviting myself to awaken fresh once more
Into a day when woman roars everywhere
Where leaders lead like they actually care
And that starving and fighting are no longer there
Our planet is crooning as we relearn how to share
Tomorrow is a day I can offer a little to help, I hope I do; and I hope you feel you can too.
