Closing words
Give us room to deny ourselves – so that we have the space to think of others and the means to help them. Give us room to express ourselves – room to grow, expand, flourish, be all that we are meant to be.
Give us bread to feed our bodies and roses to feed our souls.

Chalice lighting
As we light this one small flame,

Here we are amongst our fellows, in a place where we feel safe, a place we know and where we are known, in a loving community.

For love will guide us and show us the way.
Remember the reasons why
We’ll never choose to walk by;
But stand for what is right and just and true.
Now and then
Now and then somebody calls at the old chapel.
Searching, – for solitude, tranquillity, history or more likely – ancestors.
As they make their way up the ancient flagstone path they wonder whether they’re walking in the footsteps of their long dead relatives.
Is this the way that their great grandparents walked to their wedding? Were they nervous?
