Psalm 85, reimagined
Holy One, restore us.
Forgive us our iniquity, for all the ways we damage the earth, our fellow creatures and ourselves; show us we are all one.
Turn to us in Your compassion and revive us, that we may rejoice.
Show us your steadfast love and grant us peace.
Promise well-being to those who revere the earth wisely; may they not turn to folly.
May faithfulness and truth meet; justice and well-being kiss, as they spring up from the earth.
Bestow to us the bounty of the land and make us thankful for true prosperity.
Justice goes before us as we set out on the way of peace.
