Theme “Embodied Experience”
Fully Present
The lighting of our chalice flame invites
Our full and simple presence, in this moment
As we move through our day
May we be fully and simply present to ourselves
Fully and simply present to each other
Fully and simply present to the world around us
Grateful for the breath of life in our bodies
A guided meditation on ways to well-being: connect, be active, take notice, learn, give.
(The New Economics Foundation created The Five Ways to Well-being in 2008 – as a set of evidence-based actions that promote well-being in everyday life. These are: Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Learn and Develop, and Give.)

In these

Open your hearts to the wonder of worship.
Open your minds to the eternal quest for meaning and truth.
Open your eyes to the miracle of creation.
Open your arms to the embrace of your fellow men and women.
Open your souls, and let the divine sweep in.
Chalice lighting
The chalice is the fullness of life’s experiences
And the emptiness of innocent openness to wonder
As we light the chalice flame
Let us explore the empire of the senses,
Let us celebrate experience and experiment:
the twin expressions of freedom, reason and tolerance.
Being a prayer
Deep within there is a wholeness
Travelling by sound
May your wings never fear any darkness
May you simply be.
All around there are fractures
Healed by the ground
May your feet walk through each fissure
May you simply be.
