Prayer or meditation
Morning prayer
We are here to approach
the authentic,
the substantial
and the truthful,
to follow our inner calling,
to invoke our deepest selves
and more than this:
we are here to encounter the divine
in ourselves,
the sacred in one another
and to find connection with
the holy in all things.
May we be calm,
in
Let be
As the seasons change we can be especially conscious of our spiritual connections, our deepest connection with the world as it changes, our consciousness that the changing season reinforces a sense of the endurance of the earth and the natural world, that these things remain constant while we must go through change.
So we come
This world prays within you
This world of blissful surprise,
of ecstatic imaginings of
baby cry and lover’s sigh
and cloud roll into thunderhead
and rain falling on the tongue (and the lips and the teeth)
This world prays within you –
and turns your blood vivid blue as it oxygenates
pulses and electrifies neurons
through synapses
and then releases
A prayer for charitable giving, in sacred hospitality
Loving spirit, of many, many, names.
We invite you into our hearts to guide our giving.
Bless us in our voices, as we pray for those in need.
Bless us in the circle of hands that hold what we shall give.
Speak to us in mind, and see us through your sight,
Mabon journey
A light moving to the dark
This thankfulness in a harvest held
Yet a restlessness
May your Mabon journey balance.
Your harvest gratitude is welcome
Give blessings away to a food bank or a passing stranger
Give away on your Mabon journey.
Pick some food
Count your blessings
On your knees in humility and love
Autumn Equinox can you help me?
Before me is this darkness
Before me is this light
And after me too
Autumn Equinox can you help me
decide what to do?
I can be beside myself in darkness
And beside myself in light
Yet somehow joyful too
Autumn Equinox can you help me
decide which is right?
This breath tastes a day of equal
Lammas, Lughnasadh
Here’s a harvest hope
That this thankful thing
For food and Earth and life;
Becomes a gratitude thing
Not for now, or for us
But for everybody and everything.
May Lammas Blessings be the wish
May Lughnasadh be truly fresh
In gratitude for what we are given
And attitude of what we can give
Of loving
Awaken into the arms of the trees of generations
This tree holds an inspiration of memory
And energy
And life
Renewing and decaying
Entwining my mind
Holding our mystery
This beach this setting sun
releases and recaptures
Flawlessly enraptures
A grateful heart
These stones shower our landscape
Delivering wildness as a reward
To be held in honour
And you can take a moment
Of
