Let us pray:
I ask you to think of somebody who has been special in your Life.
This person might be
You could even choose somebody
Think now about why you have chosen this person. Is it
Whatever the reason hold that thought in your heart for a moment.
Remember that person in your heart with a smile of your own
Prayer for peace
O Divine Spirit. Help us to accept that none of us is perfect, that we all can make mistakes.
Help us to see that when we get angry or push for our own rights we may be hurting others.
Help all people to see the good in others and to recognise that we are all human beings.

Martin Luther Service Prayer
Divine Spirit, be with us as we consider yet again the great questions.
If we reasoning creatures become given over utterly to reason, help us to consider that there might be light to be found beyond reason.
If we are struggling with the pain of fresh wounds help us to have confidence that they will heal, and
Weather blessing
Through the cycles of new moons and full moons,
we’ve travelled on a myriad of pathways,
through weathers of all the personalities of the Gods.
Snow may have been your playmate or your trickster,
you may have been caressed or pelted by the rain,
found you way through fog,
stood up to the wind.
Today we arrive in this holy place,
we bring
The hope of a new day
This morning is a gift.
Every morning you have another chance.
Sometimes you do nothing,
sometimes you get lucky and the day shines on you
but how often do you seize the day with your hands and make it your own?
This morning may we wake up to this new day and this life with each other
and try to build

Crossing and dwelling
My Soul, a boat unto Thy Shores
I pray for winds to Guide and Reach
To land, and curiously to explore
To be the same no more.
Heart-waves breaking onto Crashing Shore
Thy Peace, overflows my broken raft
And, leaking, weeping, with breast-filled ache
I am shipwrecked in Thy Grace.
May I ever rest with Thee
In this most sacred inner place.

Prayer for Advent
Eternal spirit, indwelling in us all, may we never forget the significance of advent as a time of preparation, not just for Christmas, but for the passing of the old year and the welcoming of the new.
Christmas, for most of us, means the buying and receiving of presents, the decoration of our homes with greenery…
