Prayer for choirs
Spirit of Life, we thank you for our voices –
voices that sing of the beauty of the world,
voices that offer kind words to those in need,
voices that speak out against injustice,
voices that laugh and cry to express our joy and sorrow as we travel through life. May we always use our
Morning prayer
Beloved, I thank you for the gift of this day.
May I give freely from my heart,
Living with a deep and abiding joy.
As I move through the day
May I know truth,
Move in beauty,
Rest in grace,
And trust in Your steadfast love.
Amen.
Advent chalice lighting
We light our chalice candle as a symbol of hope, peace, joy, and love.
The light reminds us that love is the greatest power in the world,
the love we share and bless each other with,
here in our beloved community;
the love we take out into the world,
bearing and sharing the light,
wherever
One light
We kindle our chalice flame,
Seeking to understand ourselves, each other and all beings
as unique reflections of the One Light
May we act justly, love kindness, and travel together respectfully.

To Be.

Exhausted,
Her good God
Abandoned,
Ravaged by
Her grief
The fragile cloth of her life
Torn and tattered
The tender flesh of her soul
Ripped and bleeding.
And the voice of the abandoned God
Spoke gently
Dropping still dews of quietness*
Into her fevered mind,
And
She
Rested
In the arms

Those who say ‘it was only a dog’, or cat, or any other sweet companion,
Have never know the blessing of those who give love so generously,
Who forgive without regret. Lower our blood pressure, calm our anxieties, and
Their lives are the poorer.
We who know, grieve their loss, and hold them gently in
