Rivington chalice words
These are Chalice Words that I wrote a long time ago and they are an attempt to encapsulate the joy of being Unitarian, they are easily adjusted to suit an occasion.
We light our chalice flame, it is our Unitarian symbol of Freedom, Hope and Love. Freedom to express our many and varied beliefs and ways
Prayer for peace
We pray for the people of Gaza and Israel. The very thought that such atrocities can be justified and meted out to another person, let alone that the victims are innocent civilians, is beyond comprehension. Upwards of 4,000 people have already been killed, many more maimed and injured.

Conflict evolution
There is pain in still seeking home after thousands of years
Deep suffering as home is taken away
Yet I commit to a depth of understanding that opens my heart truthfully and allows the hearts of others to open too.
It’s what I’m expected to do.
We pray in a world fractured by violence
We pray in a world fractured by violence.
We pray in sorrow that so many are pitched into a life of suffering and despair by the inhumanity of violent warfare.
We pray for peace in a world without peace.
We pray in sadness that there can be poverty in the midst
A Springtime blessing
