These are Chalice Words that I wrote a long time ago and they are an attempt to encapsulate the joy of being Unitarian, they are easily adjusted to suit an occasion.
We light our chalice flame, it is our Unitarian symbol of Freedom, Hope and Love. Freedom to express our many and varied beliefs and ways
The light of love
We light our chalice candle as a symbol of the light of love.
The light reminds us that love is the greatest power in the world,
the love we share and bless each other with,
here in our beloved community;
the love we take out into the world,
bearing and sharing the light,

Morning prayer
Beloved, I thank you for the gift of this day.
May I give freely from my heart,
Living with a deep and abiding joy.
As I move through the day
May I know truth,
Move in beauty,
Rest in grace,
And trust in Your steadfast love.
